Jukeboxes have the name derived from African languages. The word ‘juke’ is thought to be derived from the African word ‘jooy’ which means wicked. Others refer it to the word ‘joog’ which means dance. Actually, jukeboxes were one of the best reasons people used to dance for a century now. People loved the music Jukeboxes carried. It brought them closer to their favorite artists. Jukebox manufacturers were well aware that people always loved to have the most successful music on jukeboxes, this meant that the more successful the artist and his track were, the more probable it was for the jukeboxes to contain it and play it over and over again.
Many songs have been played by jukeboxes for years now, and still linger to the memories with the help of jukeboxes. Of course, the golden era for jukeboxes is over. Yet, many places still have jukeboxes and play the most popular music on them.
